When I was in my 30’s-50’s, I was the teacher.
Today, I need others to teach me.
Throughout my entire life,
I felt I was the least intelligent person.
As I get older, I realize this is a huge advantage.
In a school I thought there were many slow learners in my room.
I was partially right, because many didn’t want to be there.
But, students believed I was one of them, because it was true.
“Humpty, Dumpty” was truly not very smart. *
My classroom discipline was terrible, because I couldn’t control my class.
My greatest strength was to love my children, care about their concerns,
listen to their problems, and do what I was paid to do.
For this, I received money,
found success in my work,
and really enjoyed what I had to do.
* The children’s song lyrics say, “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
couldn’t put Humpty together again.”

Each of us is different. No one is smarter than everyone.
Our task in life is simply to love with the best that we can be.
Love overflows and joy never ends
in a home that is blessed with family and friends.
